Bitdefender rebranding—a German Design Award 2013 Nominee
Brandient's work for Bitdefender recognized by German Design Council
Last week, our Creative Director, Cristian Kit Paul, has received a well crafted envelope from Frankfurt, Germany. The official letter inside wrote about Brandient's work for Bitdefender being nominated for the 2013 edition of German Design Award. Wow.
We find it inspirational and encouraging for us and the Romanian design at large to be recognized at European level by a jury comprising figures of outstanding profesional prominence as Roland Heiler of Porsche Design GmbH, Dr. Annemarie Jaeggi from the Bauhaus Archiv Museum für Gestaltung, Andreas Rotzler of Interbrand AG and Henrik Rutenberg of Loewe GmbH, among many others.
A German Design Award nomination is more valuable because we did not ask for it (as it happens at the open competitons, where anyone can submit works). Instead, our work was visible enough internationally so that it was nominated to participate in the competition by the German Design Council committees or one of the Ministries of Economics of the individual German states to participate in the competition
The German Design Council - Additional brand value through design is an independent and internationally active institution that supports companies in efficiently communicating design expertise and also seeks to strengthen the broader general public’s understanding of design. The German Design Council was established as a foundation in 1953 by decree of the German Federal Parliament. It supports the business world in all aspects of design and is one of the world’s leading centers of expertise on design.
