Brandient signs foreword of Chinese retail design book
Domo and Dedeman case studies featured in 商店品牌形象設計
In retail (that is, brick-and-mortar retail), the store itself is the main brand vector, thus store design is crucial. Signage, retail graphics, staff’s uniforms—they all add up to customer experience and brand equity.
The recent book Store Brand Image Design, by Chinese publishing house Design Media Publishing (English/Chinese bilingual edition), presents a series of outstanding design concepts for retail brands. The publishers invited our Creative Director, Cristian ‘Kit’ Paul to contribute with writing the book's foreword. Which he's done, and his extensive introduction discusses the connection between retail and brands, as well as effective techniques for transforming shoppers into loyal customers.
Furthermore, the book features the DOMO and Dedeman branding projects that we created in 2007 and 2008 for two Romanian entrepreneurial companies. The projects had been widely recognised by design awards at EULDA (The European Logo Design Annual, 2006), Identity: Best of the Best (Moscow, 2006) and ReBrand100 (Rhode Island, USA, 2007 and 2009).
The book is a resourceful compendium for designers, as well as interiorists and architects. It is also a way to visit, page by page, the world’s most innovative interiors and get a glimpse of how the indoors future looks like.
