Minima Moralia triumphs at the L.A. International Wine and Spirits Competition

Brandient's label design recognized as outstanding among 3000 entries from around the world

The prestigous US wine competiton, hosted in California and now at its 74th edition, also includes a separate judging panel for packaging design.

Created in 2012 for our esteemed client Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea, the label design for Minima Moralia was judged alongside 3000 entries and it was the only one to win the Best of Class award, besides receiving the Gold Medal for each of the six wines in the collection. Moreover, three of the labels—Devotion, Gratitude and Respect—received separate Gold medals in the Photo category.

The label was designed by Cristian Kit Paul, Creative Director Brandient, using photography made in classic wetplate collodion techniques by international artists. This black and white photographic technique on glass and metal support is said to capture the human sight in a natural, genuine way. The photos manage to capture in each model’s look the virtues that name the Minima Moralia wines: Honesty, Hope, Honor, Devotion, Respect and Gratitude.

In the wine competition, Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea was awarded Gold and Silver Medals for 8 of its wines.
