Brandient awarded at the prestigious Pentawards 2009 competition

Brandient was presented with the Bronze prize in the ‘Food’ category at the 2009 edition of the Pentawards international competition, for the packaging design of Papane (breaded chicken products), a brand belonging to Romanian company Transavia. The packaging design bears the signature of Brandient designers Bogdan Dumitrache and Cristian Petre.

“I believe the jury has rewarded the courage. The client’s courage to say ‘no’ to routine of the ‘beautiful’ yet dull packaging. And Brandient’s courage to come forth with this kind of concept. I am glad our solution (which does not sacrifice the packshot, on the contrary, it adds value to it) was appreciated through this prize. Too bad the jury does not speak Romanian. The very name—Papane—would deserve a small Pulitzer”—Bogdan Dumitrache, Senior Designer Brandient.
At Pentawards 2009, Brandient was also nominated in the ‘Other Markets’ category for the packaging of MyStaff, the complex solution for HR Management software. The design was developed by Cristian ‘Kit’ Paul.
In this year’s edition of the Pentawards, high-profile names of the global design, such as Bruce Duckworth, Lars Wallentin and Karim Rashid composed the jury.
Pentawards is the most important international competition exclusively dedicated to packaging design. The winning cases are presented on the Pentawards site.
