Ranking based on financial value of brands
For the first time in Romania, Brandient has developed the ranking of the Top 50 Most Valuable Romanian Brands, based on calculating the financial value of brands.

The model employed by Brandient measures the brand value to the current brand owner and applies widely known principles and methods used in evaluating intangible assets. In this model, the financial results are corroborated with the brand equity index, obtained by interpreting and indexing the results of an extensive national market research carried out by D&D Research in 22 different categories, covering over 200 Romanian brands.

For this ranking only local brands were considered, launched and developed in Romania before January 1st , 2005, regardless of the citizenship of the owner, in 22 distinct categories addressed directly to the consumer (Business to Consumer). For the brands that have mixed business (corporate/retail) only the retail segment was taken into consideration (banks, insurances, oil).
The picture resulted from this calculation and analysis process places the brands in a territory beyond “beautiful and ugly”, in which the consumers validate the brand standing through repeated sales.
