Brandient has created Brikston for Ceramica Iasi
The most resilient brick in Romania
Brandient has created the Brikston brand for the most resilient brick in Romania, produced by Ceramica Iasi.
The Iasi-based company has an enduring tradition in construction materials, and the need for a new product identity had become evident under the auspices of changes within market trends, from merchandise considered till not so long ago pure commodities (bulk packaged) to distinct marketed products displaying their own identity.
Brandient began its collaboration with Ceramica Iasi in 2007, after the latter was taken over by Advent International investment fund and as such, the new management team decided to revitalize the corporate identity.
The name was required to accurately mirror the qualities of exceptional compression resistance of a brick as “hard as a rock”. Hence, Brikston was born from the mixture of the Anglo-Saxon words “brick” and “stone”. The Brikston brick can sustain weights of 140 t, being much more resilient than required by technical standards.
The Brikston logo is designed through massive angular typography lettering, and the symbol is a visual 3D paradox, rendering the three-dimensional blueprint for a room as well as the shape of a brick. The breaches in the form shape of sign and of typography convey the sensation of “heavy-duty” features and also industrial resilience. The logo is Bogdan Dumitrache’s creation, Senior Designer at Brandient, while the graphic applications have been developed by Alin Tamasan, Senior Designer at Brandient.
