Handcrafted identity for Bucharest’s unique Scandinavian-style juice bar
The juice bar, Frudisiac, found its niche in the hippest corner of Bucharest in 2015. With its one-of-a-kind Scandinavian-inspired design, the brand needed an equally unique name and visual identity. Brandient was brought on board to craft these critical elements.
The brand name, "Frudisiac", is a playful blend of "fruit" and "aphrodisiac", subtly hinting at the delightful, wholesome beverages offered at the bar. The logo, echoing the brand name, depicts a classic fruit press containing nine circles, each symbolizing a letter from "Frudisiac", arranged to mimic fruits. For the location’s signage, a bespoke, handcrafted rendition of the logo was designed.
The press became a whole system. Its red circles and bars recombine into a modular dot-and-bar pattern that runs across menus, cups and the bar itself — all in a single coral red on black and white. For the shopfront the mark turned three-dimensional: a real wooden screw-clamp gripping glossy white, black-lettered spheres, mounted on a black-clad, light-wood Nordic storefront where the house coffee is roasted, fittingly, in Stockholm. A handcrafted identity, down to the letter.
