Casa Noastra — QFort
From real-estate agency to the region’s largest window factory — and the creation of QFort
Casa Noastra ("Our House") is the company behind QFort — the window brand Brandient would create as the second act of this engagement. Founded by Craiova entrepreneur Ștefan Cherciu in 1995 as a real-estate agency, the company had taken an audacious decision by 2006: to move upstream into manufacturing and build the largest insulated-window factory in South-Eastern Europe. Brandient was commissioned to give the expanding company a corporate identity equal to that ambition, and, as the next step, to create the product brand it would sell under its own name.
Brandient approached the assignment as a full entrepreneurial-to-corporate rebrand: an audit, a strategy, a brand architecture, naming, the visual identity, retail and signage, and internal engagement work. The strategic question was not cosmetic. The company sat at the moment when a fast-growing, founder-led business has to become an organization, and the existing "Casa Noastra" name, while warm and well-loved inside the company, was generic and hard to own or extend into a regional, product-led ambition. The market itself was unusually open: a large but highly fragmented thermal-joinery category made up of thousands of hyper-local players, with no genuine service or quality brand yet claiming the space.
The answer was a two-tier architecture. Casa Noastra was kept as the corporate umbrella for the company and its services, while a new product brand was created for the windows themselves — QFort, launched in 2007 when the company began producing and selling thermal-insulation systems under its own name, positioned around trust, boldness and an obsession with performance, with the ambition of becoming a pan-regional leader in its category. The naming and identity of the product brand are a story of their own, told in the QFort case.
The result gave an industrial manufacturer a corporate face matched to its scale and to a national distribution and retail network, and a launch-ready product brand, QFort, designed to lead a category that until then had had no brand to look up to. The program culminated in brand-engagement sessions that carried the identity inward, to the people who would have to live it.
