The energy of five thousand people, switched on from within
In energy, the brand walks through the door every morning. In 2018, E.ON Romania — eleven companies, two headquarters, five thousand people across electricity, gas and distribution — was midway through a metamorphosis: from energy supplier to energy enabler. Brandient was engaged for the local articulation of the brand — a brand localization program spanning the employer brand and its visual expression.
Brandient approached the employer brand as business strategy first, HR communication second. The Employer Value Proposition was derived from the commercial brand itself, so that the promise made to the market and the promise made to one’s own people would be one — belonging to a community of energetic professionals drawn from many industries, the freedom to transform an industry, and the capability to implement impeccably. A respected, stable employer could now claim an employer brand of its own — magnetic also for the digital professions the utilities category had only begun to court.
The platform was delivered complete and operational: the employer promise, values aligned with the commercial brand, a brand manifesto signing internal communication, behavioral guidelines, and promise sets calibrated for every level — boardroom, field, digital natives.
As part of the localization program, Brandient also built a complete local visual platform on top of the international E.ON platform — extending the group identity into a coherent local system carrying the brand across every internal and external touchpoint.
