A consumer-credit brand built and sold within a single arc
Estima Finance grew out of the Domo retail chain as a consumer-credit company, financed by the Romanian-American Enterprise Fund. Brandient built the brand for a business that, in 2006, was sold to a major international consumer-finance group in what was then a benchmark transaction — a short, sharp arc in which a clear, credible brand helped carry real value.
Naming ran across two rounds, moving from a first set of candidates toward a cleaner, more confident territory and landing on Estima. The name reads as measured and reassuring — it carries a sense of esteem and of careful estimation, the two things a borrower most wants from the company holding their credit. Positioned around a modern, optimistic lifestyle and around access to credit that feels accessible and trustworthy rather than anxious or punitive, the identity gave a young financial business the standing it needed to be taken seriously by partners and customers alike.
The arc closed quickly. Within the same window, the business was acquired by a major international consumer-finance group — at the time a benchmark transaction in the Romanian market — which is the clearest external measure of the value the brand and the architecture behind it helped build in a very compressed period.
