Plenary
A name with the weight of the institutions it serves
Selling specialized software into the public sector is a credibility contest before it is a product one: ministries, county councils and treasury-linked institutions weigh a vendor’s seriousness and standing before they weigh features. Plenary — a budgetary-execution solution for the public sector, developed by Edata — needed a name that carried exactly that institutional weight.
Brandient created the name and identity. Plenary borrows the gravitas of the chamber and the plenary session — the language of public institutions themselves — giving a technical back-office tool the standing of the bodies it serves. It was part of the same 2009 engagement in which Brandient built the brand of its parent, the business-process-management company Edata (see [[edata]]).
