Qlarivia
Clear and alive — water brought close to its primordial state
Qlarivia is a category creator. A group of Romanian researchers had patented a way to reduce the deuterium content of water — bringing it close to its "primordial," immaculate state — work that won a Gold Medal at the EUREKA inventics show in Brussels. The science was real but unfamiliar: no shopper had a mental shelf for "deuterium-depleted water." Brandient’s task was to turn dense science into instant, trustworthy consumer meaning.
The answer began with the name. Qlarivia™ was coined from the Romanian clar (clear) and vie (alive), with the initial Q standing in for C to signal the scientific, technological nature of the purification process.
The product design covered the graphic identity and a redesign of the package itself: a minimalist approach using transparencies and translucent color to carry the idea of simplicity, purity and clarity.
