Kidokka
A Romanian product, named to launch in Italy
Kidokka was a Romanian-made snack built to launch in Italy — the very country that invented the category. The product is a filled pizza served in a cone, a hot handheld snack to eat on the go (the venture even reached for heated dispensers to serve it fresh). Taking an Italian-format snack back into Italy set the real challenge: the brand could not read as a foreign imitation — it had to feel native, modern and distinctive on Italian shelves from day one.
Brandient created the name and the identity for that launch. Kidokka is a coined, playful name carrying no national baggage, made to compete in its target market rather than betray its origin; the creative territory leaned youthful and pop — an "urban tribes" comic-book energy — for a trendy, on-the-go audience. The venture sat under the Zzato corporate brand (see [[zzato]]).
